"princess Kaguya" (or tale of bamboo cutter)

when I was little, I had a children's book of this,
and it was my least favorite book of my collection
even though it had a beautiful girl and dress (kimono),
which little-me probably loved, in it.
why? b/c princes' failing of getting treasures and
the punishment (injury) as a result of failing scared little-me so badly...
I still can remember the picture brilliantly that
the prince died getting fire all over himself,
and the prince died getting his eyes burned/swelled up severely.
it's my trauma fairy tale, lol


I liked atmosphere of drawing better than finish, ew.
